This is a great thread...Nice to put some faces to the names.
larry - what a beautiful, beautiful family!!!
turkeyhunter - Hubby is very jealous. We don't have wild turkeys here. Someone tried releasing some domestic turkeys years ago hoping they would become wild. *LOL* The coyotes were real happy.

It truly is
cabi came up with a good one for sure
and Larry, with the ages
and another, matching cabins and/or land with handles

Some might be remiss to post their mugs, as they may more resemble those birds on the log.
But every face, no matter the structure, has a countenance that bears their character, a twinkle in the eye, a smile well practiced, lines marking experiences good and bad, and that is beauty unmatched.

I mean, look at Walter Matthau!
Brad Pitt, eat yer heart out

I am so glad that you started this cabi. I've thought of doing something like this for some time but I wasn't sure if it would be well received or if it was proper forum etiquette

thanks ---got the remington 870 slung over the left shoulder, you can see the indian creek choke tube on the end of the barrell. I love hunting the Indian Reservations. Lots of good mojo there. I have killed turkey with my bow. But use gun mostley now. I am standing behind HUGE Cottonwood logs, cool wood.

I missed the gun in the picture. You must be on the river or very close to it. Great picture and good luck this year. I need to get some tags but it kinda interfers with shed hunting. I struggle each year what to do. There is only so much time. I hunt them also and did get one on the last day of 2010 hunt.

I offer nothing to this site but LOVE it. Read through everyone's post daily (one of few pleasures in my life currently). I have often wondered what everyone looks like. It's like talking to someone on the phone or radio: do they look like you thought? Not always. Other members please post....

Yep and I put on a lot of miles each year. Last year my legs logged 292 miles. I find some but mostly just enjoy the outdoors.

Thinking about a picture of myself and I don't really have one. I take pictures all the time but I don't even have one of myself. I hunt, hike and spend every minute I have in the outdoors and take a lot of pictures but none of me. I have enjoyed the people that have a picture post.

OK OK I can keep still no longer. There is ONE person who has remained so anonymous, so secretive, and yet in such public view that we talk and see right through his (or her?) omnipresence on a daily basis and never question a thing.

One person who, were it not for their efforts, we would not have had established this vivacious community of thought provoking, idea sharing, life loving small-cabin dwellers who have been drawn together from all over the world in this little corner of cyberspace.

GaryO, you have passed the test with your success at smoking out MtnDon. I therefore charge you, grasshopper, with the detail of bringing into the forefront the person who is responsible for us being here today:

Cabinbuilder, are you listening? We all await your virtual presence.
