So I gave up on Live TV. I had forgotten how bad TV was OTA!

I decided to bring back to life an old Laptop and watch movies/recorded TV shows on the slightly smaller screen.

I had already mounted the LCD TV bracket to the wall but wanted a shelf to rest the Laptop. This is the shelf I built to attach to the bracket. It closes up against the wall or opens to view from the bed/couch or swing to watch while eating at the (you guessed it) folding table.

Could have made it nicer but I'm the type to rush things a bit.

That looks really nice! I like that you can close it away completely, and bring it out when you are ready to watch, it eliminates the "techi" feel of a big flatscreen in a cabin.

Nice. My OTA at the cabin is bad too, three channels and one is in Japanese. Don't turn the TV on much.

Here's my setup, or as I call it, the Control Center. Kindle Fire for reading and video streaming, cell phone, time, voltage, inside and outside temp and lights, all mounted on a hinged board that swings in front of my face in bed. My wife has one on her side too, minus all the mission critical items.
