Apparently half of California is heading into Oregon right now. 30 mile backup at Bend. Bet that's irritating the locals!

Stations are out of fuel too. Nuts, I will be at 94%, I'm cool with that.

If anyone missed the eclipse today there will be another in 7 years.

And guess what? Totality will pass directly over my small cabin!

Stay tuned for party details forthcoming over the next few years.

All are invited! 😃

Here in central Ohio (my Mon-Fri home) we got about 85% of max eclipse. Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in at that time (!).

Managed to get a clear photo earlier, using binoculars projecting onto white paper (I knew better than to look directly at the sun with the binocs!). Projection an "eyeball" looking effect.

You can also use a magnifying glass, etc. for projection. If there are large sunspots, you'll see 'em.

I got a couple pics on a cell phone with the exposure turned down through a welding helmet. Can't explain the different reflections on the planet or whatever it is in the lower left. Pics were taken from the same place moments apart.

I took some video with a welding glass as well. We had about 70 percent coverage at the lake.

I emailed my Dad a month ago. He lives in the mountains of NC - he would have good view. Told him the eclipse on 21 Aug started around 2:00. He replied, "AM or PM".
