I've been making oak boxes from my shooting sports. This is the smallest. My wife has a recipe box that I admire. She won't let me have it so, I made my own.

Very nice Owen! Do you have a dovetail jig or did you hand cut those?

love the dovetail joints, it adds that home made touch you can't get buy buying something at a store!

Well I stared cutting box joints a couple years back by hand. It's a slow process. I then bought a jig for 1/2''. This little box needed 1/4'' , so I cut them with a jig saw and no jig. My time must not be worth much, 'cause it takes a long time. When I do another I'll have a jig.

Owen, thats' impressive. I've done alot of woodworking but I could never make them look that good!

Thanks so much for compliments. Sometimes I need encouragement to keep going when things take a long time more than I plan.
BUT one must finish almost everything he starts.

Yes, it's a Quigly model 1874 Sharps from Pedersoli 45-110.
