This weekend was the first time we have been to Watkins Glen. We went to the state Forrest, and ran around town, and camped out at the KOA camp grounds. We could have camped on our property, but we drove the car, and the lane is too rough for the car, it would have gotten stuck. So we drove down to Watkins Glen and spent the weekend. What a nice little town. Super busy in the day time, and the wine festival isn't until next week, I could only imagine how busy it gets during that.
You folks living in the area, are lucky to live in such beautiful country.

Hey Smitty, did you go up into the gorge itself? Pretty neat. There's another one on the next lake over called Taughannock Falls. And of course there's Letchworth State Park to the west.

No we didn't. We wanted to, and were heading that way, but it was getting dark. Hope to get down there again next visit to our property. And the wife, said she has to visit the yarn shop on the strip :D
