Around the cabin the snow is mostly melted. This is the least snow I can recall up here a week before Christmas. Most years I can't still drive all the way. Cold enough at night (18 F) with a 47 F high today.

Splitting some wood because it's there and it won't split itself.

Same on our side of the pass... If it weren't for the need to be here in AZ for medical issues, we would be enjoying this open winter.

My wife goes in tomorrow morning for nerve ablation in her lower back. The two rounds of nerve blocks gave her nearly 100% relief so they feel the ablation treats hold be very effective. She is in so much pain right now it’s hard to watch when I can't do anything to help. Praying this helps

Yeah saw something about Wi snow on the news. Good luck gcrank

Been a quiet week here so far. Got a bit done at the cabin, ran a 12v wire from the cabin down the hillside to the shop, about 200” of slipping and sliding. I had a roll of solid building wire, which I read would be better than stranded wire which I also had. Only intend to power the trail cam and shop LEDs from cabin bank.

Another storm this weekend so back to the grid for that. My new River 2 is still there sitting by the front door I hope.

Hope it's there, some porch pirate probably wouldn't know what to do with it

The front door to the house is actually on the side, behind a couple cars so can’t be seen from the sidewalk or road.

Back to my new 12v cord, it also powers an old back up camera off the fire truck. Another cable runs up to the TV in the cabin, so by clicking the input on the remote you can see the yard down below. Here’s an early morning shot, it doesn’t show at night. You can see my gate by one of the green arrows. I should get a better 12v camera but I really only use it if someone is coming over and I need to head down to meet up. Wife also uses it to keep an eye on me down there farting around, or meeting some young chick.

Yeah, its snowing here all day so far and this aft & tonight until maybe 6am tomorrow likely harder.
This is the 1st real snow of the season and had my mailbox knocked off by 11am with 4 bills outgoing
They were still inside the box so I got em out there just in time to get hit.
Just after 4pm now and we've had 5-6" light & fluffy.

There's melting snow on the road out from my cabin. That equals mud. In December.

Last week I saw figures that stated our area has only had about 55% of the precipitation it should have had already this year. Really short in the snowfall department.
