No, no images of water washing out roads and so on. We had enough more or less gentle rain to make it possible to get an OK for s slash burn from the fire marshall. First burn in over 2 years. So I am burning a modest pile today and hopefully tomorrow.

We had another 4.5" since yesterday at home; I think it fair to say our drought is over.
Wish I had a pile to burn. Seems when I do I can't....
Update: by 6:30pm ct today we had another inch in about 45min.; flood warnings for us and surrounding counties (no worries on our high ground).
We did some work at the cabin yesterday and left about 2pm just as sprinkles started, we have no idea how much rain there may have been, or not, up there.

Dry as a bone here on the coast for last few weeks. Welcome after what seemed like a non stop wet winter. Reservoirs full.

The seemingly endless cloudy weather of the PNW depresses me.

PA has been dry all of June! Crops are begging for anything, had spotty thunderstorms yesterday that completely missed our farm....

6” in one storm last weekend at our place in n minnesota. If you’re interested- google cook mn flooding- much of the town is underwater and this is an area that doesn’t really flood. It’s been non stop rain this spring and this last storm caused the creeks and lakes to start spilling over. Our lake is so high we have many of the neighbors losing dock sections that are just floating away when it gets wavy- many of the docks are underwater.

It’s funny because we were in a Severe drought at the beginning of spring with basically zero snow this winter.

Odd weather this year all right, had more branches drop around here than I can remember over the last decade. Normal weather cycling? Man made environmental changes? Spiritual matters? The Russians ? Beats me.
