Ha, same here Darz. I was at the city house all week, probably plenty going on around there tonight, but at the cabin now, much prefer the tranquility.

Happy New Year to all you cabin folk!

the tranquility

Yessir. Nothing wrong with that.
My son in law is playing music at a sold out show in St. Louis. My wife and I would get the VIP guest list treatment if we go... But.......Nah. Tranquility. Peace and quiet ain't so bad.
I played music for 3 decades or so. Not many NYE nites not playing. Hell of a lotta fun for sure.
I might get crazy tonite and let the wife beat me at Golden Tee golf. Lol

10:26 here, just got home from a 4 couple 'late night out' at friends; good eats, visit/story tellin and all.
Good to be home where the ng furnace has kept the home fire burning, its a crisp winter night in Wisconsin.
Im sure glad the days are getting longer!

Happy New Year!

Same for us last night gcrank1! Played dominoes until the wee hour of 9:00pm! Came home and popped the cork on a bottle of champagne.... as is tradition for us, watched some TV and in bed by 10:30!

No major plans for construction.

Repairs: A quarter mile of new t-posts and 4 new strands of wire along one fence line. Plus there will likely be a few repairs where trees fell across fence lines.

A mix of 400 pine and fir seedlings is planned to be planted in some of the burned areas. If all goes according to the plan most of the grunt work gets done by younger family members while I supervise.

I and two others with BearHawks have been knocking around the idea of flying the CDT for a few years (Continental Divide Trail). We may implement the idea this summer.
