FishHog, that looks pretty peaceful. I can understand your feelings towards getting away to a more peaceful setting . You got a nice camp !

I am 59. Planning to retire at the end of the year after 32+ years with Ford Motor Company. My wife and I have been slowly working on our 420 sq ft cabin in Northern MN since 2003. It has been a slow process since we are 800+ miles away from it. We finally went on-grid a couple of years ago.
I really need to do some updates to my build thread on here....it has been awhile.
Oh....first cabin. My brothers and I started many small cabins on our parents 80 acres back in the 70s while we were growing up. I think we put a roof on one of them. <G>

Brettny — To echo, wise beyond your years! Thank you so much for your contributions!! And critical help through a few problems I encountered and was totally lost on.
44, built the 1500 sqft rural cabin I reside in full time in NW Montana starting 4 years ago. Post and pier foundation. Learned solar, backhoe work, plumbing, cisterns, electricity, and so much more on this cabineering adventure.

In my mind I “identify” as 25, until I look in the mirror.
