This is cool. A method of preserving eggs for up to a year (in case you don't have chickens).

There is a concern mentioned in comment #1 about using plastic as opposed to a glass or ceramic container. Anyone tried this method or something different?

Rockies, start one thread called "Rockies Links" and put everything there. I find some of them useful or at least interesting. Those that don't can skip over it, and other current threads won't get pushed down the list.

For Dave Bell - who provides lots of spam but no helpful information.
This article does provide some helpful info on why store bought eggs can be difficult to preserve using water-glassing.
It's because " Store-bought eggs have been scrubbed and bleached, removing dirt, feces, and the bloom. They must be refrigerated since the protective bloom is gone. They can last a couple days on your counter, but not much longer."
However, there are other methods to preserve eggs.

You keep yourself healthy, Dave. I don't want you getting salmonella, especially from store bought eggs.
