I've got one on a long rope to trim high branches. Works quite well

I tried one that was more of a wire than a chain. I don't think I used it more than 2 minutes before I threw it away.

We carry small folding saws while snowmaching. Sometimes you have to cut your snowmachine out of a tree (hey, it happens!). I might have to give one of these chain type pocket saws a try.

think it's a great thing that doesn't take up much space! but a good saw will be much better!

I see something like that but it was more of a rasp material on a cable, rolled up easier. Like a diamond encrusted, but probably some hardened steel.
