This is a Poly-Ash siding that contains no wood fibers and is suitable for wildfire zones.

It is nearly imperious to moisture and termites and is suitable for contact with the ground. You can also cut the material with standard wood working tools.

If money was no option and I wanted wild fire protection I'd go with the steel siding made by mitten called lux.

I would always use a solid metal or concrete board (like Tru-exterior or Hardie) on the soffits and eaves because of fire.

Fire will race up the exterior wall and get trapped under the eave, especially if you have part your roof covering an exterior deck or screen porch.

I would also add metal or concrete panels to the underside of a cabin on piers since a large number of building fires can start from grass fires burning under the cabin and setting the floor structure alight.
