OOh, want flavored coffee but you're off grid and don't want to fire up a coffee maker? Now you can make it without electricity.

You realize that coffee bought in K-cups costs about $50 a pound?

Yes, but for a recreational use camp they stay fresh in those little k cups since use isn't alot.

I keep my pre-ground in a glass jar. Seems to keep okay. I grind weekly. Lazy that way.

An elderly lady that my wife and I help out, gave me this today.
I know its not a K cup, or Mr. Coffee. But its kinda neet to know how people got a "Cup O Coffee", before StarBucks and Mc. Latte' were available.
I think with this " Coffee Boiler", you take about a pound of coffee, put it in an old sock, and chuck it in. Then you get about 2 gallons of "Stay Awake" and Git er Done. Times were less complicated back then. Lol
Plus.. If you read the the label. It is safe for indoor and outdoor use! 😀

I hate k-kups. They're wasteful and overpriced. I bought this for under $3 (it was even cheaper than it is now) and got free delivery to my local store. It's great for hotels, camping, power outages or even regular use and I can compost the grounds when I'm done. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Melitta-Pour-Over-Filter-Cone-Coffeemaker-Black/21777801

Or how about this one? A pour over coffee maker for your travel mug?

How about a good ole percolator over the fire or stove? I agree with Iburners on this one.

Etjohnson - yes! Pour over.... always, everywhere. I roast my own coffee, started with a air popper (for popcorn) and have graduated to a Behmoor drum roaster. About every two weeks I fire up the generator and roast about two and a half pounds of coffee beans. Grind fresh every morning. Hate to admit it, but roasting my own coffee has made me a bit of a coffee snob.... kind of like brewing your own beer (yep do that too) makes you more critical of commercial beers...

Ive been using a Bodum French Press (avail on Amazon) almost always to make 'cold brew' for about a year and a half. I have used about every coffee making process through the decades but got curious about the 'french press' thing, a few days later stumbled on the Bodum in our local St.Vincents and....WOW.
Cold brew is not make hot coffee and chill it after, no heat is used. Hot brewing releases the bitters and acids from the grounds so this is easier on my stomach. I have detected flavors in my coffee that I never could before. My pot brews for 24hrs, give or take, on the kitchen counter, I pour it into a 'fridge bottle' to take from for days. The cup I take can be used chilled or heat just to drinking temp in the nuker (Do Not Boil).
But wait! The Bodum can also be used to make a pot full of hot brew in about 10min.
Then there is my old-school pour through vintage Melitta and my stovetop 'expresso' Moka Pot. And a rarely used small stovetop alum. perc at the cabin.
All work but my fav, by Far, is the French made Bodum. Btw, they are not expensive and the pyrex and chrome is well done and classy.
Coffee grounds can be kept nicely in a 'thermos' bottle, just minimize the air space as you go.
