I've seen some TV ads for flame-less lighters and like the fact that in an emergency (such as being out in the rain and needing to get a campfire going) where a regular butane lighter won't stay lit you can still use the plasma arc lighter.
Needless to say, the reviews of the TV lighters weren't very good, but the reviewers mentioned that these two other lighters are superior options.

Those look pretty cool. I have a had a couple situations where a butane lighter was on the edge of not working but they always seem to pull through.

Just got 2 delivered from amazon today. SaberLight. 2 for $17.95. Seem to work OK. Little awkward, but whatever you stick in it, it lights it up.
