I wonder what her version of off grid will be and will they show the costs involved?

Sarah has been a TV celebrity for a long time and has the money and probably the TV production financial backing to spend on the best of the best off grid stuff money can buy. All though still informative to watch for ideas but unrealistic for your average off grid cabin owner.
I'd love to see the behind the scene footages on the family crying, whining and complaining about the bugs, no/lack of internet, no tv, conserve on the water, use a outhouse or a Lug A Loo and things that go bump in the woods at night.
I'd rather watch off-grid homesteader and tiny home owner Vlogs on YouTube.

Oh ,I don't know. I watched her series when she bought and renovated a rural farmhouse and while it's true that she "citified" the property a lot it was nice to see what a top designer could accomplish. A lot of what she used she found in local thrift stores or repurposed from salvaged materials.
I find a lot of shows about rural living rely on the same tired clichés when it comes to finishing the interiors - pine paneling, plaid patterns and stuffed moose-heads competing for space with the antler light fixtures and hunter green walls. Either that or they never really have a plan for the interiors and it's all cast off furniture from the house in town and stacks of provisions on open shelves.
Hopefully the series will delve into the systems needed for water, waste management and electricity too.

That's how it goes when you are tight on money.

Not necessarily. That's how it usually goes when you're tight on ideas.

Seriously ? Talk about stereotypical blindness... Do you realize this is a Cabineer's Forum and many ARE Offgrid and yet do not suffer that which you state ? As Rockies pointed out on the preceding comment to this one, " That's how it usually goes when you're tight on ideas."

It could be an interesting TV series. She will be trying to promote her "designer" skills to the public and I am sure the new state of the arts products will be featured, so we may get exposed to the newest solar technology. I will be fun to watch the water heater, shower design, etc and this is not going to be the small one room, off the grid, boon dock building. This will be full blown, all latest technology being presented by someone promoting her business.

Every little bit of knowledge whether from somebody promoting their business from a show, a forum or Pinterest has helped me design my cabin on a shoestring.

I look forward to the series. Sarah is a talented designer.
I too designed my cabins on a shoestring. But I have hot showers, large screen tv, internet, insect screens on my windows. Hang, i even have a microwave, induction cooktop and dishwasher. Why folks even pay good money to stay at the farm.
I am entirely deficient in the design department. Sarah. If you're reading this. I'm a few hours from to and could use your help. Why i'll trade ya a solar design. ☺
