rockies, I need some for off gridders. Hey, you scour the net, see if you can find something off grid. I did find a Moultre camera and a modem, works with Verizon wireless. Reviews are great.
But a fellow cabineer said he picked up a security camera set up from Cabelas, its 4 cameras that transmit to a base unit which then sends them to your phone or email, all works off grid (batteries I imagine) but can a solar panel be added to each???
Anyway, he said this kit was $399???
I just found the camera modem for one camera, his was a "set" of 4 cameras and expandable with 4 more cameras (total of 8)
See what you can come up with on that. All I have been getting is dead ends. I want a camera that takes pictures and sends them to me, must use battery with solar panel to charge. If it has enough battery to last 6 months, that would work too.
