Not sure if this has been started yet, but thought it would be interesting to see others finds.
Driving down the road I scored this that someone was throwing out. A little clean up and it will work nice in the cabin.

Since I started working at boatyards, I've managed to score some great "freebies":
Vintage cast iron "Shipmate" coal stove

Almost-new 105Ah AGM batteries

Propane boat stove

I always have my eyes open for a good cabin find. Its amazing what people throw away sometimes.

I visit my local thrift shop almost daily and it has paid off incredibly. My last visit I scored 4 anchors for my outhouse (yes it has blown over twice last winter). Anyhow, 4 anchors each with a helix for a total of $3.99.
"Honey! Start the car!"

Oh and lets not forget my friendly neighbor who dropped off about 40 bundles of shingles on my laneway for free.
Now I will put up with his barking Chihuahuas for a while

I look around my studio and all I see is stuff I got deals on.
But my favorite. The 15 2" 4x8 polyiso sheets of insulation I wrapped my winter bedroom in. 150 including a 4x8 solar water heater, tile and other materials. Here's to frugality
and to passing it along.
