Now that I've become a Pinterest junkie, I've been creating a board of cabin interior ideas. Here are some of my FAVORITE looks. Please share your inspiration photos, too!

I've become a Pinterest junkie too, Montanan. Like you, I've got a whole board devoted to cabin ideas. I'll have to post some of my favorites later.

My daughter got me hooked on it. It is an online pinboard where people post things they like. It covers anything and everything you can think of: gardening, cabins, cars, gadgets, recipes....You name it and it is there. Go to pinterest.com.
When you see things you like, you "pin" them. What that means is that you are saving them to look at later. If you don't pin something you like, you may never see it again. Things change all the time. But I'm warning you. It is addictive. hehehehehe

Oh yes- Pinterest is highly addictive!!
trollbridge~ I LOVE the look of buckets/bins as sinks. We're thinking of trying to set up some kind of rainwater collection system that would at least allow water to a sink in our little "guest cabin" we're planning to build. If we do that, I want to use the stone counter with a bucket as the sink.

Yellowstone Traditions is a builder in the Bozeman area. You can google their web site. They do some amazing places. None would quite qualify for small cabins, but their ideas are really interesting and classy. I have a couple books with places they've done also.

My neighbor's cabin has a cool feature....
It has a loft (as many cabins do)... but instead of using a ladder or stairs...
he literally has a tree trunk with branches between the base floor and the loft. The branches are cut, and they protrude from the based of the tree alternating one side to the other, as they go up.
It's very cool. Sorry I don't have a picture.
