OK, the show is on Sunday, Nov 18th, its at 10PM, on the DIY network channel. You dish folks might get to watch is 3 hours earlier.
Its about a guy building a cabin on the shore of a lake in Alaska and being hassled by a bear. Should be good. I dont know if its just this one show or the beginning of a series. It appears to be only 30 minutes long.

Tee hee! Sorry, but I get a chuckle out of these Alaska "reality shows". My husband was filmed for one, but was too "boring to make the cut. If they can't get "natural" wilderness, they fake it. Too much of that makes Alaskans look like we are all nutcases or Grizzly Adams types.
Wonder how much of this show will be "real" reality.

I watched the second show, right after the first. None was used to video building the new one, but just tearing out the old one. But will watch next weeks adventure now.

Doh- missed this last night. How was it? I can't believe how many Alaska "reality" shows are on the air right now.

I'd like to see some out of Montana too. Great country. Love it from the base of the Rockies (Great Falls) and westward.
That rolling grasslands on the far east isnt for me. (little big horn type country)

I went on a geological field trip that was based out of Fort Benton, in east-central Montana, along the Missouri River. Looked like beautiful country, much like the Alberta prairie to the north.

One of my favorite shows is the "Alaska the Last Frontier" show. I realize that all these Reality shows are scripted to some degree, some allot more than others. But this show I mentioned is not as bad.
I Also like the fact that it shows a Family and Extended Family all working together to live off the land as much as possible.
And an interesting tidbit about this "Alaska the Last Frontier" show is that the Singer Jewel is from that same family. Jewel's father Atz is a highly featured character on the show along with his half crazy but funny and super smart brother Otto.
It's a very entertaining show, watch it if you get a chance.

I like that show too. That's very interesting that Jewel is Atz's daughter!!

Yes- it's like 2 different worlds. I've always appreciated the scenery in western MT (and the drive on Hwy 200 from Great Falls to the Swan Valley is my absolute favorite in the state) but I've actually grown to appreciate the stark landscapes in eastern MT too- there's a certain severe beauty to it.

I can't understand this super rich people with their buying all their crazy toys. To me if I had a crazy amount of money I would spend it all traveling, there are so many interesting places and Peoples to meet and See.
But I don't dream of being Rich and doing all that instead focusing on what makes me happy with what I have. I guess to me there is a reason they Call it Big Sky Country, or similar. Mountains and High Lands are so diverse and that diversity is what is so compelling to want to see more of it.
I bet sooner rather than later we will get some sort of "Alone in the Wild Part2" Reality show.
