such as soap, candles(wick, wax alternatives ect). and many other goodies one might want to know how to make if they were off groid and/or isolated.

I have googled a lot, but nothing good has come up. I really want something akin to a boyscout handbook for off grid / isolated living.

anyone know of anything ?

I LOVE "The Encyclopedia of Country Living" by Carla Emery. It is 885 pages and has lots of great tips and ideas.

I don't know as these resources count as (natural) but I didn't want start a new topic

I often use Project Gutenberg for free e-books .
http://www.gutenberg.org/

They do have categories to make looking for what you want easier.
To get to the categories click BOOK CATEGORIES in the upper left hand part of the screen, right below SEARCH CATALOG.
May not have what your looking on a given subject but considering everything is free and your not breaking the law with copyright infringement _I always feel it's worth a look.

I also like to at to look at Ag links to college and university extensions many have PDFs available for free to share info on research and plans for livestock, crop planting , etc.

Here's a example site _ http://www.oces.okstate.edu/
If you click on fore say CROPS on the left hand side of the page under the category EXTENSIONS it will provide you info they have to share. Sorry if that sound really basic but I thought I'd do that for the benefit of less tech-savvy forum members.
Hope that helps
