That link says I need 6 batteries to power 200 watts of light for 4 hours a day. I think that's a tad excessive.

Bzzzzzt I think you must have done it wrong it shows 4 batteries but remember there 12V at 105Ahs you could run one baterie if it has the 400 ahs

200 watts lights for 4 hours a day comes out to 4 x 105AH batteries using the calculator, which makes sense if you run the math manually. Keep in mind that the default results are based on 3 days use depleting the battery to 50% only. 200 watts 4 hours a day for 3 days is 2400 watthours. Double this for 50% and that's 4800. Divide by 12 for a 12 volt system and you get 400 AH - hence four batteries at the size used. You can convert initially to AH as well - 200/12 is 16.67 amps. 12 hours total gives 200 AH. Double the capacity to keep the discharge at no more than 50% and you get 4 batteries. I've used this calculator on a number of occasions.

800 watt/hours for 3 days comes up to 200 amp/hours, 50% capacity for 4 100 AH batteries. More than 50% when you figure in inverter losses
