Hi everyone I’m in the process of building a summerhouse in my garden. Never done anything like this before but really enjoying. As you can see in one of the photos I’m installing a wood burning stove. Will installing it in this position cause my windows to break. Any advice welcome. Enjoy y’all. Mcrose 36073D199B76445B9.jpeg

Nice work McRose.
When I saw the power pole radiating to 14 different directions I figured you were in the UK. Then saw the stone buildings and lots of chimneys to confirm.
Perhaps when I can get my wife over to Scotland to visit some of the Outlander sets we will stop by for a spot of tea!

Hey the build looks great so far make sure you keep us posted! As far as the wood stove goes ok no expert but everything I’ve read suggests at least 3 ft away from a window to avoid cracking. I’m curious why you would need a wood stove If you are building a summerhouse?

Rory Hi Rory thanks for the advice. I guess I'm just generalising calling it a summerhouse. This will be used all year round and Scotland gets pretty cold in the winter. It's fully insulated with 50mm rock wool and double glazed throughout.
Thanks again, McRose

Wilbour Hi Wilbour you are indeed correct. The pole is telecoms. We are not quite as rural as Outlander but in the beautiful capital city Edinburgh. You'll be more than welcome for afternoon tea!
