You are coming right along quite well! Looking good. I have always liked a clean work site.

Thank you
The stain is TWP 1500 series dark oak. I sprayed it on and back brushed every inch of it.

Got some more exterior done. Window trim is mostly flashed and installed along with all the exterior siding stained. I used permachink lifetime accents in garnet for the window trim stain. I wouldnt suggest it. I dont see the stuff lasting to long and it cost $116 a gallon.
Also did alot of exterior finish grading and grass seeded the area around the cabin. 20231001_125630.jpg

Been up a few times. We now have finished exterior stairs along with all the window trim on. We also got the interior stairs nearly complete, but with temporary stair treads until all the painting and drywall is done. The hand rails and guard rails are black cherry with a ash boarder around the black metal.
We also passed our framing inspection. We are now in a bad dash to get the wood stove put in before it gets really cold. 20231007_184729.jpg

I'm going to have my work cut out for me in the coming weeks. I'm doing 1x8 and 1x10 tongue and grove in a staggered pattern. I'm going to HVLP spray this at home and bring it up to install.
What are people useing for a black colored backing to tongue and grove? I dont need a vapor barrier...maybe landscape fabric?

Was a busy weekend here. Picked up 12 sheets of drywall, hung them and did one coat of spackle. Also did the tongue and grove ceiling in 2 rooms and layed down vinyl plank floor.
I decided to not put anything behind my tongue and grove. Where theres large knot holes I have been just stapling some black roof underlayment.
I also tripped out my Epever BN 40 Charge controllers 40a breaker so I need to get a bigger breaker. 20240407_120959.jpg

Looking good. Where are those Epever fuses? I have 2 40BNs. The shop one will never see 40 but the cabin one might on a record day. Easy enough to change? Have a spare on hand?

I added a self re setting circuit breaker between my CC and batteries. I like self resetting because it will take care of its self if it ever trips and I'm not there. The truth be told It was a bright stunning morning, i saw my batteries full and put a load on the system to test it. I have never seen the output over 27a before.

ok thanks. I’m a bit uncertain (not hard for me these days), CC amp ratings are what they can output, not how much they can take from the panels, right? So you must have had a large enough load on your bank that it was drawing the full 40A from the CC, at the ragged edge of your breaker.

Note: I am NOT an electrician! Yes, the SCC rating is the max it can output regardless of the solar array input. Be aware there is also a limit of how much input a SCC can safely take. CB and fuses need to be 'upsized', that is derated for the size wires so they don't ignite. There is a trip/blow tolerance, the USA made ones are close to to right on, the imports are.....iffy. And CB's need to be DC rated because a DC arc can kill an AC, like bridging across a there is no longer any protection. FIRE can ensue. The derating formula for CB's and fuses is all over the 'net. Remember, you fuse to the wire regardless of the load capability of a unit. If the wire size doesn't meet the load, change the wire size, if you can't change the wire size that is what you fuse to, with the derating of course.
