How many yards is your range? I miss having a range in my back yard

800 yards, it is sooooo nice to have a place to shoot in privacy.

that is very nice!!!! private range is great for teaching people to shoot and doing load development. plus you don't have to put up with stupid people running 16" barrel AR with stupid load brakes on them

Dec '19 update.

All appliances(a/c and heat, range, water heater and frig.) are hooked up and working properly. I still have some drywall work to do on the ceilings and some cedar trim but it is livable now. I will make one more trip to finish up then I will go back to working on the log cabin.

Well its been a couple of years so I figured I would update this thread. My family has enjoyed this place far more than I expected and the layout/set up seems to be working out perfect. We are looking forward to many more years of enjoyment.

Great write up. I enjoyed your story. Nice that you and your family can work together on your beautiful cabin.
Looking like you will have many more years of fun enjoying your cabin n family. And the rifle range is a great addition. Would work as a landing strip at an Alaskan cabin
Really nice seeing families together out enjoying their family cabin. Do you still plan on building a log cabin too

Yes we are making some changes to the foundation first and I am still trying to decide between buying the logs or harvesting them myself off of the farm.
