He used a roll of sill gasket between the pt 2x4's and the cement I assume that will take care of anything getting between the cement and shoe or at least that's my understanding :)Off to bed now !!

Depending on your location (i.e. type of soil and amount of moisture in it) your cabin may become moist inside. You should "put something on it".

It went well it was exhausting lol but we got lots done . I guess in my dream I didn't expect to be wielding a hammer myself haha. My whole body aches today but it's all good !!

thanks everyone. We weren't able to do much this weekend due to the weather .I am so over winter !! My husband did manage to get the two upstairs walls made home in the shop and we installed them this morning . Although the snow on the trees was beautiful I was wishing it had of been nicer weather to get more building done.Ahh perhaps next weekend:)

awe spring has sprung I think :) Today we were able to sheet in the two remaining walls and put up some rafters hoping to get nice weather tomorrow so we can get more done ,

today was a beautiful warm day .The boy and I took a walk on the beach while my Husband and other 2 sons continued to make our dream a reality ....It's all good :)

We were able to get lots done Friday and Saturday and seem to be on the home stretch and looking forward to enjoying it soon :) Hoping for nice weather tomorrow afternoon so we can do more . All that's left for this stage is to fill in the last wall, install the door, finish shingling the roof and to sit back relax and enjoy ...........:)

Is that funiture i see inside, they are all the same "dad", as of this weekend we now have the third couch in a year at the cottage,They gotta love change !!Good job kids..
