Here's some photos of my cabin, I built it in sections in my cellar then hauled it up north and put it together. Its been quite the project. I'm hoping to have it finished by July.

Very cool. Love the big window, nice find.

Steeper than 12/12 pitch or is that a trick of the camera angle?

Thanks! 16/12 pitch, I needed headroom for the loft and I knew I wasn't going to be able to get up there in the winter often enough to get the snow off of the roof.

Its OK if you like looking at wood. JUST KIDDING!!!
Great looking cabin! One question though; if you built this in your cellar, what does your cellar look like? Do you have Bob Villa and Norm Abrams down there? Or Gary O?

Thanks guys, there are definitely a few changes I would make if I were to do it over. My cellar made certain aspects extremely frustrating!!

aesthetically, that's one of the nicest exteriors I've seen on this board.
It's a really beautiful cabin. The color looks great and the window trim really sets it off

Thanks I appreciate it! I wasn't sure if I was going to paint the trim but my wife talked me into it, I'm glad she did.

It's small...12'x14' with a 8'x12' loft, the pitch is steep enough that you can easily stand in the loft.

Thank you, I will keep updating photos as I get closer to being finished... A woodstove, gas lights, and a gravity fed water system are next on the list

Here's what I've built for cabinets so far, I was able to get the one with the sink in it upta camp before the snow started to fly, the other will be mounted above it and hold a 15 gallon water tank.

Love the flooring, is that Hickory? After I did mine I thought it was to much wood with the T&G pine walls, wood cabinets, and wood look laminate flooring. Yours looks well together. If I need to replace the flooring in the future, I may do brick or stone look.

Thanks, it's pine with a few coats of polyurethane, I wanted a more aged look and figured after a few years the pine would have quite a bit of "character." I might stain the walls a little darker just to give it some contrast.
