little fence complete with gate. hey, a girl needs to claim a small space where some plants won't get eaten. the deer won't jump in here, as it's too close to the building. they do have acres upon acres to cruise, so this is kind of pitiful for me to claim. haha!! my tiny little deer free zone.

You may have to top it with barbed wire so they don't lean over and enjoy the "salad bar" when the veggies get big, lol. It looks good! Very cute!

I don't think you'll have any problems in that little fenced area. Deer tend not to want to get into such a closed space. We discovered that working up at the local Cemetery. Fenced graves can have flowers in them (even tulips which the deer LOVE). Unfenced graves - forget it.

also put the ceramic tile floor in the garden house. it's ready for the next guest. hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! every year we get birds in a nest above the vent at the garage. the little guys are now big, but I think their parents are having a hard time getting them to scoot. ack, have no idea why my photo is sideways!

Yikes - those baby birds are big to still be in the nest. Hmmm....maybe they are taking a lesson from the human race. Kids staying at home forever. *LOL*

Sorry for your loss Abby. Even tho we all know it's inevitable, why does it hurt so much? Cute little guy, he's got some pretty big shoes to fill! If he doesn't eat them first. Haha
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

our chapter of living in our little place in the woods is coming to a close. we have loved it more than we can say, but alas.....time flew, and we got older. we are now looking for a little house down in the burbs of the world near our kids again. it's sad, so sad, yet exciting to think we could see them often again. a new chapter. the last chapter, but it will be amazing as every one has been. I wanted to move here while we could, and we have loved every second for almost 17 years. time is a cruel friend, that flies by so quickly. I hope the people we sell to loves my little house as dearly as I have.

I know, Hattie. it will be the most sad day when we drive away from here for the last time. it has been our passion and our heart. we have talked and talked about it, tho, and it is now important to be near family again. we feel crushed, yet excited as to what life will bring. I want to once again be close enough that my kids can come over for dinner. I want to be close enough that in an emergency we have support. for all these years we have lived so remote, but it's all good. give me a yard to plant and a little house to decorate, and it will be just as wonderful. hugs. I guess my time here has ended, tho. much love. I would say to everyone, if you want to live your dream in your cabin....DO IT. just do it. it will be so wonderful.

we did that for years past, Just, and it became too much to take care of two places. so, we decided way back then to pick here to live. as much as I'd love to keep this place, I remember those days too well.
