We finally decided to get rid of the loft ladder and build stairs this summer. I moved the bedroom doorway into the hallway and studded up the hole. I extended half of the loft out three feet and built a three foot by three foot landing. I have never cut traditional stair stringers before, so I found a product called EZ stairs. It uses brackets and spacers to set the rise and tread. It worked really well. I was able to put the two sections of stairs together in a few hours. I still have some trim work to do, but that can wait. I think I am going to head out to the lake for a while. camp stairs

BEAUTIFUL stairs! Great Job!!! I bet you could use that space under them as a pantry of storage of some kind!
