Great pics. We have a similar build going. I am remote ...i wish i could drive there in truck!! but this is mainly a snowmobiling cabin ....so driving there in the winter is not an option regardless. I am going to hook up my wood stove this weekend...and bam...we are in ....cant wait to get in. Started in end of may bringing in gear...and finally going to spend a nite...lots and lots of work...but worth it.!!!

Almost down to counting days instead of weeks. How many people can say that when they know there's lots of work to do....

Also to note I scored on a a few second hand gifts like a toilet and a sink for the bathroom as well as a sink for the kitchen in the near future. I'm having my remaining aluminum materials delivered to finish my fascia and missing section of drip. looks like I will have to shop around for my soffit once I'm up but look forward to finally say its completely dried in or critter safe maybe

I was just up in the WV hills again a couple of weeks ago and had beautiful weather. It has cooled off since I was there, so I hope the weather is better now for putting some meat in the cooler for you.
Safe travels to Wild, Wonderful West Virginia! Enjoy the trip and the stay!

I'm back that was to fast but I have my front and back eaves close in using aluminum soffit. Never installed before but I believe I'm happy with the results. 20161117_122014.jpg

Did not get alot done on this trip maybe due to it being Thanksgiving time and Buck season but I have more plans to acheive hopefully in the spring. I seem to get my front and rear eave close in which I was more concern about that than the gable ends since it was letting wasp or etc in thru the rafters. Planning on finishing gable ends and maybe get started on bathroom this spring. The goal is a hot shower and a toilet inside before next deer season....

I suppose the cabin life style has slowed down, it seems to be awefully quiet on this forum. Maybe one day it will be more interesting....maybe not

Yes may seem a tad slower than usual but it's likely because half of us are rushing before the deluge of Fluffy Stuff to get things ready and ahead of it, while other's are closing up / shutting down for the season.
Glad to see you got the soffit's on, as every critter is seeking shelter and keeping them at bay is most essential... Are you going to keep working through winter or do you have to wait for the Spring Thaws ?

Being a 1000 miles apart from my cabin most likely it will be in the spring before I can do any more. I Appreciate the feedback
