For about 5 years my outdoor living space was a 8 X 8 ft treated deck with an inexpensive 10 X 10 ft Coleman fabric gazebo cover. It was fine during the "trailer-years", but the elements (strong winds & sunsine) rapidly deteriorated them and just didn't maintain acceptable utility. So after my recent cabin build I devised a much improved sheltered outdoor space. As shown in the photo, I constructed a 12 X 12 ft Royal Hardtop Gazebo (by Sunjoy) with a cement patio block floor. I wired in a ceiling fan w/ remote and light, plus a weather-tite outlet. This was a solo build, after pouring 4 concrete corner piers, assembly was accomplished in 2 half days, plus another day for the floor & electric. Specifically, I wanted low maintenance and no more noisy flapping canvas. So far I'm pleased with the results and it matchs the 8 X 6 Hardtop BBQ shelter. Royal Hardtop Gagebo
