I'm going to be building a 20X24 camp and trying to plan things out. The first thing is the foundation. the cabin is going to be sitting on solid rock ledge so I'm going to build on solid cement blocks. Next I am wondering if I mill out 8x8 timbers and use them to frame out the foundation if I could fasten floor joist right to these using hangers. I would have a center beam also, and I would support every 8'

Gunner if it was me I would want to place a pressure treated sill plate on your blocks and then set them on that.
