After a long time messing around, we finally got 'er done this weekend...it's now our favorite room of the house, we spent all weekend out there eating, drinking, looking at the stars, etc...
It was amazing how putting on the roof and railings made it seem so homey and comfortable...oh and finished up the bathroom as well....

Really nice deck! It is amazing how a deck with become the most used area - effectively adding a bunch of living space. I assume in your area you do not need to screen it in? Sadly we need to screen our decks in or you can't use them for much of the spring and summer.

Well not usually....way too dry out there! Certain times of year the pests come out though, so I'll be building a screen porch just around the corner.....with a roof deck on top!

No way, it's desert and 120+ in the summer. Plus we have no electricity......after solar goes in this year and we get some fans, it will extend our season, but right now it's Oct - early May
