Saturday we drove to Kingston to rent a truck, drive to Homer's, load the lumber and deck blocks, drive to the ferry terminal, ride the ferry, drive to our site, unload the supplies, drive to the terminal, ride the ferry, take the truck back, drive back to the ferry terminal and drive back to our site. Saturday was pretty much done and so was I.
Sunday we started and finished the 100 sq/ft freestanding deck. Learned a lot along the way so the next one should be easier.
All in all, it took more time to get the supplies than it did to build

hey wilbour, i like that view. must be some peaceful to sit there amongst the bees and butterflies and watch the windmills turn.

I had a lot of work to do this summer. Not much time for relaxing. Now that the cabin has walls, windows and doors i can take it a little easier. Looking forward to next spring.

I used the the Kreg jig on a 16 X 10 deck. It turned out nice but.... It took 3 times as long as regular.
