Cute visitors--and this morning too! I'm not up to speed with trail cams, but I'm assuming that's a time lapse on the last photo, right?

Guess , I'm not up to speed either on them as I do not know what you are asking ? I do have a lot of pictures of the bears for about 40 minutes or so. I picked out what I thought were the two best. The first bear earlier in the week I think is a mangy male and the other two show a female and three cubs. I think I have the camera to take a pic every minute or so. I do have video capability also but always set on pics. Will have to try video. What is really discouraging is that I looked out the window about this time and did not see them. lol

Shadyacres, Sorry to be confusing with my question. It was late and I just couldn't (delightfully!) believe there would be 4 little bear cubs in one photo; didn't notice that one was a mama. I thought it had to be a time lapse of one bear. Awesome picture! Hope you're enjoying summer at your cabin.

No problem Kirby , I actually went back and checked the pictures again to make sure myself. The neighbor down the road was saying he was seeing a sow with 3 cubs so I was sure they had to be the same ones. As far as enjoying my time at the cabin, I definitely do . I try to get there every weekend and don't want to leave on Sunday. Thanks again.

I have battled a bear for the past 2 weeks...He tears my feeder down...I move it, and he followed me. Then sunday morning I walked up on him at the feeder. I yelled you MotorFinger you, I've had it. He got the funny look on his face and scatted off quickly. I keep saying his one eared self would make a nice rug, and good bear sausage...

Hope you scared him away Bevis but probably not ! I don't really mind them being around yet because they haven't destroyed anything yet. I was trying to get some deer in but I think they stay clear because of the bear. I have a lot of neighbors in the area that feed the bear constantly so unfortunately they will be around. I will wait till late January to feed the deer.

The door looks good. It looks like it will stand up to plenty of in and out traffic.

I'm hoping to get a pergola type structure up at some point over my outside cooking area. Does anyone have any pictures that they could share to give me some ideas ? I did find a few online. Here is a couple pics I found online. pergola2lg.jpg

Chilly enough this weekend to try out my pellet stove. I works excellent and I only burned about a bag and a half of pellets for the weekend. Also took a pic of another addition to the bear den.

Nice stove Shady, the Harman is fantastic huh. Looks like a P43? I just installed a P43 this weekend at the cabin also, insurance company needed pics.
I heat most of our main home with a P43
