Hi! Haven't been on here in a while. As usual, love all the work you've done. What is your new addition going to be used as?
Our build got put off. (Again!)
The property that borders us became available and we ended up putting our cash into that. Just now really able to get going again. ; )

Rys , that is actually going be a bedroom with our other former bedroom being turned into laundry room with washer dryer. When I originally built , wasn't sure if we would move there or not. Yeah , speaking of buying land the 2 acres between out cabin and the 9 acres piece we had became available in Jan. so we bought that now it is all connected. Couldn't pass it up. Plus don't need to worry about someone else building there.

Thanks moneypitfeeder , had to do some more upgrades. Turned original bedroom into laundry, utility room and added new bedroom, just installed a mini split , 18000 btu and 6000 units inside.

Haven't been on for awhile. I keep busy outside most days. Have enclosed porches , partial on the one plus working on more outdoor storage.

Thanks so much Desim , for the kind words. Actually I did get the hunting shack exterior sided and stained but am in process of putting a little porch on it and have not done any more on inside. I will get a few pics and post them. I did get an archery buck on Friday the 13th about 100 feet below the hunting shack in my climbing stand. Also will post pic of that. I need to start posting on here more, been lazing it.

Having been updating this thread to much last 2 years. Been busy this winter tearing down cabin next door as the owner decided to sell it . It was a 1 acre lot with well and electric. No sewer. It was a sprawling place , pretty well rotted with water damage , found 2 campers built in . Finally got it down , had a lot of bon fires over the winter. Saved some lumber. I'm thinking of putting a pole shed there to store my John Deere tractors. There is a 16 x 24 shed there yet but think it will need to go as it is in sad shape also. Have not had any trouble with the bears knocking down the bird feeders for over a year. I'm thinking since we are here full time that maybe the bear stay away more. I have seen a couple close on trail cams but not near my bird feeders. Hopefully I didn't jinx myself. Will have to get some more pictures posted soon.

Well , I guess I jinxed myself with the bird feeders and the bears. Had one knocked down the other night. Luckily they didn't get the one I have in a tripod . Not sure if they can't climb the metal pipes or what.

Our daughter bought us a beautiful expensive bird feeder for our cabin.
We had it up for two days.
Day three it was gone.
Have no idea what took it.
Followed the drag marks until they disappeared.
Looked everywhere for it. Someday we will find it. Probably under a brush pile.
Now I buy the cheap bird feeders of course no interest in the cheap one.

Yeah , I know all about the fancy , expensive bird feeders , they disappear fast. That is why I started buying the cheap ones or make my own.

Was reading back over my thread just now and got tired just thinking about all the work I got done in a short time. I think I was there every weekend but 1 the first year when I started building it till it was inspected. Looking back it seemed like it was a lot of work but it didn't seem like work at all because I loved what I was doing and I like to build stuff.

So far this tripod bird feeder has been bear proof. Knock on wood.

Brettny - No doubt , but after last year I have my sights set a little higher. Sure I won't be able to pass him up though. I don't hunt till it gets a little colder. Cooling down today , I may go this evening. Thanks for looking.
