thanks edge. I looked for more photos of the finished bunkie, but wasn't able to locate any of the interior. I won't be there until next year, but I will try to take some next time.

Thank you for the reply. Did you scab boards along both sides of joists to hold it up, put anything under it to support it, or is it just held there by friction and great stuff? Also, have you had any issues with critters gnawing away at it?

I used framing nails to hold them up. scab boards would work just as well. Nothing else is below the rigid foam. The Great Stuff is an insulating foam sealer often used in door and window installation. You can buy at any hardware store. I used a couple cans to seal and insulate around and between each rigid foam board. I have had no issues with critters and there are a lot o critters around. Mice use my tool shed more than I do!

Another week of progress. Cover porch completed (great place for the skeet launcher!). Staining done. Some bathroom work done. Floor installed. Trim work nearly complete.

It has been a while. Lots of progress made. Due to the pandemic we spent Christmas at the cabin in place of our normal trip to NB to visit family. Built glass railings in the loft. got the king bed set up in the loft. Well drilled!

What a great build! Looks like a excellent hide-a-way. I am envious of the single pitched roof. I am tempted to keep that one in consideration..

It has been a great fall at the cabin. Took some photos of the leaves changing. My son really loves the woods. Also found a beaver dam(n) and a flooded 2 acre patch north of the property. My neighbour used his excavator to dig out a 5 foot section and the resulting flood gave my culvert a workout. Beavers patched the hole by morning!

A productive couple of years. Finished the deck railings. Solar system installed. Solar fridge was one of the best additions. Starlink installed. Some new toys and furniture. And concrete was poured for the new garage!
