The well is in 142', got almost all the footings in for the addition then I was pushing my luck and it pushed back and gave me a nice cave in sunday afternoon. It was getting late and I still needed to drive 3 hours home so I called it good and will return this weekend and hopefully get them ready to pour.I realize we are getting away from the small cabin idea a bit but we are really going to try to make this our permenant home with 3 boys already and the wife wanting another we need a little more space. 100_2244.JPG

Good job. I've had to hire younger ( 30 year olds ) to do the heavy work. My back has been real bad the last few weeks.

Very nice. It's always great to get out of the dirt, isn't it? My back hurts thinking about it.

Met with a septic guy this weekend, waiting for an estimate now.Worked on the beach a bit and started some interior framing, built a loft type bunk bed over the staircase for one of the many children. Its where I would sleep if I had a choice. We were also lucky enough to watch 3 loons fishing right off the boardwalk for about 20 minutes. 077.jpg

Its been a little while but we are still moving forward. I changed the windows where the bathroom is going to make room for the shower.I worked on the soffits and boardwalk, got the basic frame up for the deck/porch started some siding.Almost have the addition sealed up so I can join the two buildings together on the inside. Also thinned the woods out to make room for the septic and gave the septic guy money down so he can start, maybe this weekend he thought but we shall see.

Finished the boardwalk with my eyes closed!Very happy about that,It was a big undertaking.Got some lights in the basement to start getting the insulation down for the radiant heat.ran the conduit for the pump wire and got some more siding on. Found some cheap child labor that claimed they knew what they were doing, But I don't know about that.

Well its been a couple of weeks with some good progress, I changed the kitchen window with a smaller one to make room for the sink, got some more siding up and stained, finished getting the insulation down in half of the basement and put in the radiant pipe and got the concrete in. Got the header put in and the opening cut out to joint the two buildings together and framed the bedroom off and started the platform for the pellet stove talked with the septic guy and he says maybe by sept 2nd he'll have that in?
