New to forum great project/stories love the pics have spent 2-weeks on our cabin/cottage in Northern British Columbia look forward toworking on the cabin in '10.Have included 3-pics cabin is 20'X24' with a loft and a 16' high ceiling. No power available in this area any ideas for power-solar? Will use a catalytic wood stove to keep the cold at bay. Great site!

Very nice looking project. I've been researching a wind/solar option for our place. Check out the listing in the forum by lamar5292, he has a great little place and some fantastic ideas he shares on youtube. Worth checking out. Good luck on your place!

I really like the look of the place, breaking ground on my place in the Spring. I have land in Tatamagouche Nova Scotia. What are you doing for septic purposes? Looking forward to seeing pics inside.

Solar Power is a bit challenging but the 320 watts of solar panels charge the 4 6volt batteries in 2 days and power all we use for 4 days as long as the sun shines. Waiting for a dual axis solar tracker to harness all the panels can produce should arrive soon for next years project. Hoping to spend some time at the site this winter for the first time just to make sure the heating system is up for the task. Sure is nice to not hear the generator anymore! Merry Christmas all!
