I posted in another catagory, but actually, now I see this is a more appropriate place for my building diary.
We are doing this as a means to our retirment. I plan to have our little cabin in the woods payed for within a year of its completion. We can then live in it for 2 years and bank our savings before we retire 3 years from now. November of 2014 baby! yeah!
The main part of the cabin is 20'X20', with a 10'X12' bedroom in the rear. I finished with the floor joists in the main part, but have just started the bedroom floor joists.
I hope to finish them early this week and get the plywood on before the weekend. If the weather cooperates, I can start building and standing walls this coming saturday.
Pics coming soon, don't have them on this computer.

Welcome Tim! Congratulations also for starting your new home. I read your blog and can tell how excited you are!! I like the design you have chosen also. It will be fun to watch your place come along, remember to post lots of pics :) You are lucky that your place is close to your current home and work so you can go work some here and there during the week. It is slow going for us cause we can only work on weekends. Enjoy the process.
