Quoting: customrunner smitty I havent worked out the load but the area averages about 12" of snow a year but should'nt be a problem as there will be a wall running from one end to the other dividing the bedrooms and bathroom from the kitchen and livingroom. P.s. will be braceing before roof goes on.. Ahhh, ok I gotcha.. I see what you are doing. Thanks!

Dang....I sure am glad we didn't have your weather while putting on my roof! It was cold, and cloudy, but when I say cold, I mean like 38 degrees....not -24!

It's looking great. Good to have that stove in. It's not cool to have the dog's water dish freezing.

Well finaly made it back up to the cabin with my buddy and it went well, cut out all the window openings, wraped and taped the cabin, installed all the windows and started the cedar trim. Also the other day scored the kitchen cabinets off Craige list for $75 score... cabin_8_046.JPG

Makes me cold just looking at the snow. Here in NE TN, we are at 60 degrees with light breeze. Very unusal for this time of year. You have made great progress is a very short period of time. I love the deals you have gotten on line.

Well had a great day at the cabin, slow go on the way up thanks to the snow snow and more snow but got some work done not what I wanted, do to my brad nailer craping out any way finished the trim and started the shingel work, also brought up eight bundels of safe and sound insulation the colection of materials keep pilling up, there was about 4" of snow at the cabin so my little monkey had some fun in the snow with her mom they also found some beaver tracks and followed them all around the property. cabin9_020.JPG

So since the weather is limiting my time at the cabin I will be prefabing my front deck at my home, the deck will be 20' x 6' (built with 2" x 6"PT lumber) with cover that will tie into cabin just below the trim line. Will post picks as I get started

How the heck did you get the woodstove into the camper , I almost stroked out getting ours up a make shift ramp of 2x10s and then a 6 inch platform where it sits. I love your setting , its like a postcard and the cabin is looking at home . All the pre fabbing at home makes it easier than having to do it all on site but it takes some planning doesn't.

Alex_in_AZ thanks for the kind words.
Mr. Troll It was'nt fun getting the stove into my trailer or back out and then back into truck then out of truck into c-can so not really looking forward to moving into cabin but I am stubern and if there is a will theres a way(and I also almost strocked out). As for the pree fab yes took some thought just have to keep the desine simple and cuts accurate as if there not, you will not have much fun during assembly, and basicaly lose all the time you saved.
