That looks like a gorgeous site, I'm jealous. Is that a river or lake in front?

I remember the joy of finishing our cabin foundation! We would just go sit on it and dream of the finished project. It becomes an obsession. My Ohio cabin foundation.

What a fantastic setting and it looks like you are making good progress. Will you be sidelined by snow soon??

That's what I'm talking about...building in shorts in the cold (that would be me too.) Where did you get the concrete ring for your fire pit from ?

If you go buy a mid to large construction site near its compleation you might be able to get one for a case of beer or less as when we have left overs they end up in the trash bin to large to store and to heavey to bother to return

dk1393 I wish I had a weekend to work I get 4 hours to work each trip up so not much time working maybe 3 hours after setup and clean up but its getting there hope to have the roof on next sunday if I can get some buddys to give me a hand..
smitty I havent worked out the load but the area averages about 12" of snow a year but should'nt be a problem as there will be a wall running from one end to the other dividing the bedrooms and bathroom from the kitchen and livingroom. P.s. will be braceing before roof goes on..

I wish the UPS guy would show up at MY house with cool toys like that.
That cabin looks really cool. Sucks that it's snowing already up there though. Good luck with that roof.
