There were about a half dozen cabins clustered along the river. They appeared to be occupied as year round residences by locals. I like the four chairs on the porch bringing to mind Papa Bear sitting beside Mama and two baby bears.

love it.Good ole La. looks about right for there.miss it but dont miss the snakes.thanks for sharing.

Oh yeah. The guide said in warmer weather (was cool 60F during our tour) the snakes are aplenty. They've even been known to fall into the boats from the low branches, we were told. Very interesting area.
