I just purchased a property in ny for a hunting camp I am finding it hard to get liability insurance being I am from pa any ideas

How about joining the National Woodland Owners Association
At the top, you will see insurance. I get it for about 28 cents an acre, but there is a minimum. This will not cover anyone's injuries, wont replace your cabin if you burn it down, it will protect you from lawsuit if someone gets hurt on your property. Many times, family will be there, kid breaks a leg, mom takes them to local hospital, they set his leg, bill kids parents insurance company, but they will come after the land owner to deflect their cost.
I did it, told the wife, this place is no fun if we cant share it with friends and family. It will protect me in the case a trespasser gets hurt too.

liability insurance in case someone gets hurt on your property....Really! A trespasser gets hurt....really!
I don,t get it......I guess I live in a different world in MT!

Paul, I am with you, but with the trip-n-fall lawyers, it happens all too often. I'm too far along in my wealth creation to lose it all now, not enough time to start over.
