We had a discussion awhile back on simpler building codes for remote areas, cabins, etc. There was a lot of agreement on how ridiculous it is to require a hunting cabin to comply with requirements for family dwellings found in suburban areas. One person even started a draft of what a Cabin Code could look like, but we never finished it.
