First good on you [i]Cabinbuilder[i] for creating this website. lots of useful information and the chance to get feedback on our plans and ideas. For many years now I have dreamed about building a simple cabin on a remote site and living a life of basic comfort, convienience and security. If I could manage this without selling my soul to the devil or trashing the planet, that would be even better! Economics and personal ties have delayed my getting started, so for now I have to content myself with research and preparation. I would welcome input on all aspects of cabin contruction and living, in particular I would like any suggestions that would help me narrow my site selection. The general criteria are (1) Northern British Columbia (2) well off the beaten path (3) lowest possible land prices. A steeply sloping site with logging road access would be just fine.
