Does anyone know of the price of say a five to twenty acre parcel to build a cabin on in these two areas of W. Montana?

Rocky Mountain Timberlands may have land you would be interested in also. They tend to handle more remote properties, if you're interested in anything they have, be sure to check access, both legal, and practical, as in, is the road plowed/passable in winter, spring melt, etc.

Our land search was more in central Montana, but I can say that the prices will vary a LOT, depending on where you are looking, whether you want easy access, and what kind of terrain. I know we saw 20 acre parcels for as cheap as $35K to as much as $150K. Good luck!
