I would say we are one week away from peak on my mountain in Western, NY.
We hope to be there this weekend not to miss it. Between the drought and heat we had this summer its expected peak will be early and short.
Fall is my favorite season. The look, the smell and the temperature.

Yeah, Sept/Oct are my personal favorites as well.
I was in the Adirondacks a few weeks ago and it was already starting (a little) to change...I'm sure its in its glory right now.
As most weekends I'm up at the cabin plugging away at it but this week end I made sure I took the time to just walk around and take in as much of the view as possible....
