I had a pair of mallards nesting this spring, but they took off. Saw these big boys this morning.

Great photo! I have seen pretty good sized young one this spring already. I always like to watch geese in the spring.
You have a very beautiful place.

Speaking as someone who has a large population of Canada geese in my area, all year round. They really look nice swimming in front of your place but when the little buggers get up on your property and there is over 50 of them, they are a dirty guest leaving droppings all over your grass. We call them "rats with wings". A couple of them are nice to watch but wait till they invite their "friends".

It will make your grass nice and green. Just don't walk in it with bare feet. It will squoosh up between your toes. At my daughters cottage , her dog has a full time job , chasing them. old243

Do not feed them anything. Or they will stay indefinite and make your lawn/yard unusable.
