I just wanted to share what I saw today at the cabin. I went up to do a little work and to hang a blind on the window. I got there and up the side of the hill I noticed a mule doe and really didn't think much of it because I always see them when I'm there. Any I watch her of and on while I was working an saw her give birth to not one fawn but two!! I spent 3.5 hours sitting in the shack watching this caring mother do her job. It was amazing and nature at it's best and I had a front row seat! I finally got out of there when they both finally got on their feet. I was about 80 yards away and of course had the bino's.

TH that is awesome! Some of the things we see and witness in the outdoors is amazing. Most people will never experience these things in a life time. Right place at the right time.

Awesome. About 5 years ago at myhunting camp, seemed like every doe was dropping twins. Had one doe that would come up to a feeder we have right behind the camp house. Every evening she would show up to the feeder with triplets. We would just sit on the deck watching them play like little kids while mom would eat a belly full of corn. I would say we watched them 3 little ones grow for 5 years. Last time we say them 2 were big 10 points and the 3rd was an 8 point. We could just never bring ourselves to kill them. Hopefully they are still running around.

Interesting story. Yes it is very common for mule deer anyway to have twins/triplets after mom has her first fawn.
