I know what you mean.
We are currently in Nebraska between Lincoln and Omaha. The drought is so bad here the earth has cracks 2 inches wide here. It looks like something from a desert picture.
It clouded up for a few minutes here today and rained but 5 minutes after it stopped you couldn't even tell there had been any.
Pitiful...

Thing are getting better up here in North MN now too. Thank goodness as winter cab be the dryest time of year.

We've had a few inches of rain over the last 6 weeks, but not nearly enough to replenish the ground water. I almost held off spending the money on the cistern figuring it would start raining soon; I'm glad I didn't. We need a good 3-4 days of steady rain to even come close.
